AKCOME Shows at 2022 Solar Show Africa with efficient modules

From August 23 to 24, the 25th session of The Solar Show Africa, namely, the Solar Show Africa 2022 was grandly held in Sandton Convention Centre, Johannesburg, South Africa. AKCOME showcased by bringing AK iPower heterojunction modules and AK iChaser efficient PERC modules, brought the solution of efficient heterojunction and PERC module product series to global customers and displayed the up-to-date technical achievements and industrial application scenarios of AKCOME from omnidirectional and multi-angle, providing strong impetus for AKCOME to learn about African photovoltaic market information and developing African market.

1、AK iPower HJT Module Grandly Showcasing

Focusing on the technology development in the field of heterojunction cells, AKCOME has grandly launched iPower HJT modules. Once the products appear, they immediately gained the attention and favor of exhibitors from all walks of life. The exhibition booths was of high popularity on the site and the inquirers were like a constant stream. The latest generation of AKCOME, AK iPower 7.0 heterojunction module is based on 66 pieces of 210mm heterojunction cells, which adopts MBB technology, half-cut, double-sided and double-glass process, with power up to 700W. It has the advantages of “Three Highs” including high conversion rate, high double-sided rate and high power generation and the characteristics of “Three Lows” including zero LID, zero PID and low attenuation, which is suitable for application scenarios of distributed power stations such as surface power station, industry and commerce and households. 

Another high-profile product is the AK iPower 4.0 HJT module, with 166mm 72 pattern, and power up to 475W. The AK iPower heterojunction module, with a double-sided rate of 87%-92%, conversion efficiency of up to 22.53% and low temperature coefficient, can maintain excellent power generation performance in high temperature environments, with lower generation losses due to zero LID (cell photo-induced attenuation) and zero PID (potential-induced attenuation). Compared to PERC modules, by adoption of the AK iPower heterojunction modules, the levelized cost of energy can be reduced by more than 3% and the power generation can be increased by more than 10%, achieving higher internal rate of return.

2、AK iChaser PERC Module Displaying Glamour

The AK iChaser series products of AKCOME efficient PERC modules also showcased at the expo, attracting exhibitors of all walks of life by virtue of its high power, high power generation and high cost-effectiveness. AKCOME offers rich iChaser series efficient modules for customers to choose from. There is 182mm 72 pattern PERC products, which adopts 10BB, half-cut technology, with power up to 550W. 

Another product is 166mm 72 pattern, which adopts 9BB technology, half-cut, double-sided and double-glass process, with power up to 460W. A large-sized PERC module is 210mm 40 version, which adopts 9BB, three-piece design, with power up to 410W. AKCOME focuses on the process upgrade of large-size PERC, facilitates lossless cutting technology to effectively reduce hot-streak loss, adopts double-sided cell technology,bringing higher IRR to customers, bringing lower attenuation by integrating gallium-doped technology and realizing power loss reduction and optical utilization improvement through multi-gate technology, helping to realize lower LCOE.

The expo site in South Africa was in full swing, and the popularity of AKCOME booth was rising.
